Summer is the hottest of the four temperate seasons, falling between spring and autumn. At the summer solstice, the days are longest and the nights are shortest, with day-length decreasing as the season progresses after the solstice. The date of the beginning of summer varies according to climate, tradition and culture, but when it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it is winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa.

The last months I haven’t posted many new pictures. I have a new job, and not much time left after travel to make many pictures. Therefore some pictures from my new office building, and the view from it.

Sometimes one thinks; why don’t we spend the weekend in Rotterdam? It really isn’t such a bad city. But why does it always rain there?

A little trip to the beautiful Spanish island Mallorca.

The canal parade was the smashing final of the Amsterdam Euro Pride 2016. Almost just as much fun watching the spectators 🙂

Gay Pride 2016

Milkshake was two days this year, with a lovely and more quiet Sunday afternoon 🙂

This year Amsterdam hosts the Euro Pride. Equal rights for all, based on sex, religion, colour is far from being a fact in most countries. There are more countries where being gay is a crime, than where they can marry.

In the middle of the Vondelpark (Amsterdam) is this rose garden. Not a very pretty garden, but the roses are amazing this year!

On my way home, decided to take the ferry crossing the IJ to Amsterdam North.
