The sun and the temperature are still a bit disappointing, but the promise of summer is there!
Spring
From Bussum, along the Naardermeer and the River Vecht to Weesp.
A walk through the area where I grew up.
From Hollandse Rading to Bussum. With blooming wild plums (krentenboompjes).
A new walk from station to station; from Naarden-Bussum via Baarn to Amersfoort.
I was so lucky to be invited for an after-work flight from Lelystad (The Netherlands) to Stadtlohn (Germany) to have a schnitzel. I had never flown in a ‘real’ airplane before (only air busses) and I am grateful for the experience!
Just 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam you can make nice walks through the Kennemerduinen. Allthough next to Haarlem and Amsterdam, you won’t meet many people on your way. But you will see lot’s of woodpeckers and jays! Oh, and some ‘wild’ horses… This walk is between the NS stations […]
In the south of the Netherlands the idyllic valley of the River Geul is one of the most fantastic places for a nice walk. See for yourself…
The oldest city of the Netherlands, but unfortunately bombed by the allied forces in 1944. They finished the destruction of the city already started by demolishing the old castle and the magnificent city walls. Why does man always need to destroy?
A week of relaxation in Sardinia. A beautiful island in the Mediterranean. Good climate, tasty food, reasonable coffee. And a beautiful nature. The photos show Castelsardo, a fortified town on a peninsula in the north, Sassari, the local capital, and the La Maddelena archipelago.
