Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons, following winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs. When it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it will be autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. At the spring equinox, days are approximately 12 hours long with day length increasing as the season progresses. Spring and “springtime” refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth.

Just 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam you can make nice walks through the Kennemerduinen. Allthough next to Haarlem and Amsterdam, you won’t meet many people on your way. But you will see lot’s of woodpeckers and jays! Oh, and some ‘wild’ horses… This walk is between the NS stations […]
The oldest city of the Netherlands, but unfortunately bombed by the allied forces in 1944. They finished the destruction of the city already started by demolishing the old castle and the magnificent city walls. Why does man always need to destroy?
The last months I haven’t posted many new pictures. I have a new job, and not much time left after travel to make many pictures. Therefore some pictures from my new office building, and the view from it.
Yesterday people interested could take a peak preview of the art work in the new metro Station Rokin in Amsterdam. The items on the walls represent things found while digging out the station. Oddly satisfying to see an upside down duck, or a (stoned?) upside down shrimp.
