Holland is wrongly often equated with The Netherlands. Holland, however, only includes two provinces in the country of the Netherlands; Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. Originally Holland is a single county, and the current royal family of The Netherlands claims to descend from these counts.
Oosterdokseiland (“Eastern Dock Island” or “ODE”) is an island that forms a neighbourhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands just to the east of Amsterdam Centraal railway station. The island was created in 1832 by damming it off from the IJ.
