The city is a collection of albums made in or around cities and villages. Beautiful architecture, parks, or just an odd detail. And an occasional stranger. I love just walking around in cities.

Hemelbestormers

The Grote Kerk in Naarden has one of the most beautiful vaults in the Netherlands. The entire barrel vault has been painted and fully preserved. The paintings were made between 1509 and 1518. On the north side is depicted the Passion of Christ from the New Testament. In contrast, on […]

Rheine, Münster & Osnabrück

Rabat

Rabat is the capital of modern Morocco. And you can see that. The buses have windows and air conditioning, the sidewalks are complete and clean. Here the money is spent.

Casablanca

The city is perhaps less beautiful than the imperial cities, but here you meet hospitable people and taste the real Morocco.

Naarden

My new village Bussum is twinned with the fortified city of Naarden. The city is nice, but the fortifications are magnificent. Worth the trip!

Historic Nijmegen

The oldest city of the Netherlands, but unfortunately bombed by the allied forces in 1944. They finished the destruction of the city already started by demolishing the old castle and the magnificent city walls. Why does man always need to destroy?

Marrakech

City of Marrakech, city of soeks, medina, Koutabia and smog. Where horses and donkeys are still forms of motorisation. Great food, splendid palaces and annoying merchants. Go there yourself if you can…
